IES Montevil is the coordinating center of the Erasmus+ KA229 project «Three Times Health is Happiness» that it carries out together with four partner countries: Italy, Portugal, Greece and Austria.
The initial duration of the project was two academic years (2019-2021) but due to the Covid-19 health crisis it was necessary to request one more extension course.
Throughout these three academic years, a group of teachers and students from IES Montevil carries out the project in English with the partner schools of the project.
The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
Health multiplied by three is Happiness
Health multiplied by three is Happiness is the translation of the European project coordinated by our center. In this project, we wanted our students to investigate health in three different areas: physical health, emotional health and social health, and how good practices are understood in the different cultures of the countries that participate in the project.
Our students created a health application that included a game that allowed them to discover if our habits and way of life are healthy.
The eTwinning platform was used as an educational platform for work between schools. Joint activities and mobility of students and teachers have been carried out.
The 20 Erasmus+ students representing IES Montevil travelled to partner countries to work together with their European counterparts. These trips were fully subsidized by the European Union.
In November 2019, the first teacher mobility was carried out in Gijón. In February 2020 there was a meeting in Bari (Italy) of Erasmus+ students from the 5 countries.
Due to the Covid-19 health crisis, the project was reconsidered and resumed by carrying out a virtual mobility in May 2021 and a teacher mobility in Böheimkirchen (Austria) in November of the same year.
In March 2022 a meeting took place in Famalicáo (Portugal). In April of the same year it was the Greek school that welcomed us. The final activity took place in Gijón in May 2022.
